Who will you remember?
Join us this July to dedicate a sunflower in memory of someone special, and celebrate their memory at our Sunflower Days.
Pilgrims' beloved summer remembrance returns this July, where beautiful sunflower markers dedicated in memory of your loved ones, decorate the hospice gardens in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford.
We then welcome you and your guests to a celebration in the sunshine, offering you an environment of comfort and reflection. At our summer tea party, you can enjoy refreshments and live music, all while reflecting on your treasured memories of someone special.
We're delighted that the Pilgrims Hospices Wellbeing Team, the hands and minds behind our Time to Create sessions will be joining us once again, giving you the opportunity to explore your creative side with sunflower themed arts and crafts.
Join us on Saturday 12th July from 1pm-4pm to share your memories, collect your sunflower marker, and create a lasting dedication to your loved one, all while supporting the compassionate care and comfort Pilgrims delivers to people throughout the local community.
Your sunflowers will remain in our gardens until 1st August, or can be collected as a treasured keepsake on the day, to be placed in your own garden.
To dedicate a sunflower to your loved one, simply click the button below or call our friendly Supporter Relations Team on 01227 782062. We will write the name of your loved one on your sunflower memory marker, ready to be planted in the hospice garden of your choosing for our Sunflower Day.
New for 2025: Sunflower Day at Herne Bay Crematorium
Saturday 29th July, 1:30pm-6pm
We're delighted to partner with Herne Bay Crematorium of the
Westerleigh Group to offer a new Sunflower Day for the local community. Dedicate a sunflower in memory of your loved one, and join us for a special commemorative service at 1:30pm. After, you can enjoy refreshments and the tranquil grounds, as you find your dedicated memory marker.
Do you want to take part in Sunflower Memories every year?
Sunflower Memories is a special event in the Pilgrims' calendar, and there's a simple way to ensure you can take part each year. By signing up for an annual Direct Debit, you will automatically receive your invitation to your chosen Sunflower Day where your dedicated sunflower will be waiting for you.

We have Pilgrims to thank for us getting together. You can't see it at first, but there has to be hope; that's why we started going to the counselling groups. Now we have a future. It will be lovely if our story can help others who are worried it's going to be the end of the world - you come pretty close - but there is hope.
